Franchise

A contractual arrangement where a franchisor grants a franchisee the right to operate a business using the franchisor's established brand, business model, and proprietary systems in exchange for fees and royalties. This allows for the expansion of a business concept while maintaining a consistent brand identity. Franchises are regulated by federal and state laws, including the Federal Trade Commission's Franchise Rule.
