Impleader

A procedural device allowing a defendant to bring a new party into a lawsuit, alleging that the new party is liable to the defendant for all or part of the plaintiff's claim. This process, also known as a third-party complaint, aims to resolve all related claims in a single action. Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 14 governs impleader in federal courts.
