Amended complaint

A revised version of a plaintiff's initial pleading in a lawsuit, filed to correct errors, add new claims, or include additional parties. This document supersedes the original complaint and becomes the operative pleading in the case. Courts typically grant leave to amend complaints freely when justice so requires, as outlined in rules of civil procedure.
