Intangible property

Assets that lack physical substance but represent valuable rights or claims, such as intellectual property, stocks, bonds, and contractual rights. These assets derive their value from legal recognition and the rights they convey, rather than from their physical form. Examples include patents, copyrights, trademarks, and goodwill, which are often subject to specific legal protections and transfer rules.
