Incorporeal ownership

The legal right to an asset that does not have a physical form, such as intellectual property or a right-of-way. This type of ownership grants the holder specific legal entitlements and protections, even though the asset itself is intangible. Copyrights and patents are common forms of incorporeal ownership.
