Mail fraud

A federal crime involving the use of the U.S. Postal Service or any interstate mail carrier to execute a scheme to defraud another of money or property. This offense requires intent to defraud and the use of mail in furtherance of that scheme. Penalties for mail fraud can include substantial fines and imprisonment under federal law.
