A Multiple Listing Service, a private database created and maintained by real estate brokers to share listings of properties for sale with other brokers. This system allows cooperating brokers to view each other's listings and arrange compensation for successful transactions. Access to an MLS is typically restricted to licensed real estate professionals who are members of a local association of Realtors.
