No-knock warrant

A search warrant that authorizes law enforcement officers to enter premises without first knocking and announcing their presence. This type of warrant is issued when there is a reasonable suspicion that knocking and announcing would endanger officers, lead to the destruction of evidence, or allow the escape of a suspect. Its use is subject to Fourth Amendment protections against unreasonable searches.
