Blanket search warrant

A search warrant that authorizes law enforcement to search an unspecified location or seize an unspecified range of items, lacking the particularity required by the Fourth Amendment. Such warrants are generally considered unconstitutional because they allow for general exploratory searches. The Fourth Amendment requires warrants to describe with particularity the place to be searched and the persons or things to be seized.
