Pari delicto

A legal principle stating that when two or more parties are equally at fault in a transaction or wrongdoing, the law will not intervene to grant relief to either party. This doctrine means that a court will leave the parties where it finds them, refusing to enforce an illegal contract or grant damages. It is often applied in cases involving illegal agreements.
