Patent infringement

The unauthorized making, using, selling, offering for sale, or importing of a patented invention within the jurisdiction where the patent is granted, during the term of the patent. This occurs when a party performs one of these acts without the permission of the patent holder. Patent infringement can lead to legal action, including injunctions and monetary damages.
