Payor

An individual, company, or other entity that makes a payment to another, known as the payee. In a legal or financial context, the payor is the party with the obligation to provide funds, whether for a debt, a service, a court-ordered judgment, or a contractual agreement. For example, in an insurance claim, the insurance company is the payor, and the policyholder is the payee.
