Polygraph

An instrument that records physiological responses such as heart rate, blood pressure, respiration, and skin conductivity, which are then interpreted to detect deception. While widely used in some contexts, the scientific validity and reliability of polygraph results are subject to debate. In the United States, polygraph evidence is generally inadmissible in court proceedings.
