Inadmissible evidence

Information, documents, or testimony that a court will not allow to be presented to a jury or considered by a judge in reaching a verdict or decision. This exclusion occurs because the evidence fails to meet legal standards for reliability, relevance, or proper acquisition. Common reasons for inadmissibility include hearsay, lack of foundation, or violation of constitutional rights.
