Incompetent evidence

Testimony or documents presented in court that are legally inadmissible because they violate rules of evidence. This type of evidence may be excluded due to irrelevance, hearsay, or privilege, preventing its consideration by the judge or jury. The Federal Rules of Evidence govern the admissibility of evidence in federal courts.
