The act of bringing information or a person to the attention of the general public, often through media exposure. In the context of tort law, the right of publicity protects an individual's right to control the commercial use of their name, image, likeness, or other aspects of their identity. Unauthorized commercial exploitation of a person's identity can lead to legal claims.
