Pure per stirpes
Term · Law · MLC-T-LAW-004045
A method of distributing an estate where the division begins at the generation of the decedent's children, whether or not any children are alive. Each child, living or deceased with descendants, represents a root, and their share passes down to their own descendants. This approach creates equal shares at the first generation of descendants, regardless of whether any members of that generation survive.
