Rehabilitation

The process of restoring a person to a constructive place in society through training, therapy, or other programs, often after a period of incarceration or addiction. In criminal law, it is a goal of sentencing, aiming to reduce recidivism. This concept also applies to restoring a witness's credibility after it has been impeached.
