Revocation

The formal withdrawal, cancellation, or annulment of a legal instrument, power, or right that was previously granted. For example, a person who creates a will can revoke it at any time before their death, or a government agency can revoke a professional license for misconduct. For a contract offer, revocation must be communicated to the offeree before acceptance to be effective.
