Severability clause

A provision in a contract or statute stating that if one part is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts will still be considered valid and enforceable. This clause prevents the entire agreement or law from being struck down due to a defect in a single provision. It reflects the parties' or legislature's intent for partial enforcement.
