Synthetic cannabinoids
Term · Law · MLC-T-LAW-004820
Chemical compounds that mimic the effects of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the primary psychoactive component of cannabis, by binding to the same cannabinoid receptors in the brain. These substances are often sprayed onto dried plant material and smoked, or sold as liquids for vaporization. Their chemical structures vary widely, making regulation and detection challenging under drug control laws.
