Third party beneficiary

A person who is not a party to a contract but stands to benefit from its performance. The original parties to the contract intend for this individual to receive a benefit. Such a beneficiary may have legal rights to enforce the contract under certain circumstances, depending on whether they are an intended or incidental beneficiary.
