Vested ownership

A form of property ownership where the title or interest is absolute and not contingent upon the fulfillment of any condition. The owner possesses a present, indefeasible right to the property, even if the right to actual possession is deferred to a future date. This contrasts with contingent ownership, which depends on an uncertain event.
