Vested remainder

A future interest in property that is certain to become possessory upon the natural termination of a preceding estate, and the identity of the remainderman is ascertainable. There are no conditions precedent that must be met for the interest to take effect. For example, a grant 'to A for life, then to B and her heirs' creates a vested remainder in B.
