Waiver

The voluntary and intentional relinquishment of a known right, claim, or privilege. This legal concept means that a party gives up an entitlement they could otherwise enforce. Waivers are frequently used in contracts, legal proceedings, and insurance policies to define the scope of obligations or rights.
