Acetylene

A hydrocarbon gas with the chemical formula C2H2, found in the atmosphere as a result of incomplete combustion processes. It is a tracer for anthropogenic emissions, particularly from vehicle exhaust and industrial activities. Acetylene participates in atmospheric photochemical reactions, contributing to the formation of ozone and other secondary pollutants.
