Algerian Current

A surface ocean current flowing eastward along the coast of Algeria in the Mediterranean Sea. This current is primarily driven by the inflow of Atlantic water through the Strait of Gibraltar and is part of the general cyclonic circulation of the Western Mediterranean Basin. It transports relatively warm and saline waters along the North African coast.
