Anticrepuscular rays
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-003561
Beams of sunlight that appear to converge at the antisolar point, the point on the celestial sphere directly opposite the sun. These rays are parallel shafts of sunlight passing through gaps in clouds, but perspective makes them seem to radiate from a single point. They are the continuation of crepuscular rays and are most visible at sunrise or sunset when the sun is low on the horizon.
