Bai-u

A distinct rainy season that occurs in East Asia, particularly in Japan, Korea, and parts of China, during early summer. It is characterized by persistent, heavy rainfall and high humidity, resulting from the interaction of moist air masses from the Pacific Ocean and dry continental air. This seasonal rain front, known as the bai-u front, typically lasts from early June to mid-July.
