Basin outlet

The lowest point in a drainage basin where all surface water collected within the basin exits, typically a single stream or river channel. It is the point at which streamflow is measured to determine the total discharge from the watershed. The basin outlet defines the downstream boundary for hydrological analysis of the contributing area.
