Beaufort wind scale

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-003875

A system for estimating wind speed based on observed sea state or terrestrial effects. It categorizes wind conditions into numerical forces, from 0 (calm) to 12 (hurricane), with each force corresponding to a range of wind speeds. This scale provides a practical way for mariners and meteorologists to communicate wind conditions without precise instrumentation.
