Binomial distribution
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-003913
A discrete probability distribution that describes the number of successes in a fixed number of independent Bernoulli trials, each with the same probability of success. In meteorology, it can be applied to model the probability of a certain number of rainy days in a month or the occurrence of specific weather events over a defined period. This distribution is characterized by two parameters: the number of trials and the probability of success on each trial.
