Bise

A cold, dry northerly or northeasterly wind that blows across Switzerland and France, particularly in the Jura region and the Swiss Plateau. It is associated with high-pressure systems over northern Europe, channeling cold air southward. This wind can bring clear skies but also causes a sharp drop in temperature.
