A local name for a warm and humid southerly wind experienced in the Massif Central region of France. This wind originates from the Mediterranean Sea, gathering moisture as it travels northward. As the air is forced to ascend the southern slopes of the mountains, it cools and produces cloud cover and precipitation, a process known as orographic lift.
