Vent des dames

A gentle, cooling sea breeze of the French Mediterranean coast, blowing from the southwest on summer afternoons, especially in Languedoc. It is a thermal circulation driven by the temperature contrast between land and sea. The name means wind of the ladies, and it is also called the vent des demoiselles.
