Efflux velocity

The speed at which a fluid or gas exits an opening, nozzle, or vent. This velocity is determined by the pressure difference across the opening and the fluid's properties. In atmospheric science, it can refer to the speed of gases exiting a volcanic vent or a smokestack, influencing plume dispersion.
