Egyptian wind

A hot, dry, and dust-filled southerly wind that blows across Egypt and the eastern Mediterranean, also known as the Khamsin. Originating over the Sahara Desert, it occurs intermittently in the spring from March to May, causing abrupt temperature increases and poor visibility. During a Khamsin event, temperatures can rise by 20°C in two hours and wind speeds can exceed 140 kilometers per hour.
