Sirocco

A hot, dry, and dusty wind originating from the Sahara Desert that blows across North Africa and into Southern Europe, particularly the Mediterranean region. This wind picks up moisture as it crosses the Mediterranean Sea, often arriving in Europe as a humid, oppressive wind. Sirocco events can last for several days and are associated with dust deposition and elevated temperatures.
