Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007321
A strong, cold, and dry northerly or northwesterly wind that blows through the Rhône Valley in France and out over the Mediterranean Sea. This wind is channeled by the topography, accelerating as it descends from the mountains. It is a classic example of a katabatic wind, often bringing clear skies and significantly lower temperatures.
