Brackish water

Water that has a salinity level between that of freshwater and seawater, typically found in estuaries, coastal lagoons, and some inland seas. Its salt content is higher than freshwater but lower than the average ocean salinity of about 3.5%. This type of water results from the mixing of fresh river water with saline ocean water, creating unique ecological environments.
