Brewster point

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004032

One of the neutral points in the polarization pattern of skylight, a point where the scattered light is unpolarized, found on the solar meridian typically about 15 to 25 degrees below the sun. It mirrors the Babinet point at a similar distance above the sun, while the Arago point lies above the antisolar point. The positions of these neutral points shift with atmospheric turbidity and ground reflectance.
