Carbon-black seeding
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004171
A weather modification technique involving the dispersion of fine carbon black particles into the atmosphere to absorb solar radiation and warm the air. This warming can potentially enhance convection and cloud development, or dissipate fog and stratus clouds. The effectiveness and environmental impacts of carbon-black seeding are subjects of ongoing research.
