Water spray seeding
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-010116
A cloud seeding technique for precipitation enhancement that involves dispersing fine droplets of water into a cloud. These introduced droplets act as collector drops, accelerating the collision and coalescence process to form precipitation-sized drops more quickly. This method is most effective in warm clouds, where temperatures are above 0°C and natural precipitation formation is inefficient.
