Seeding agent

A substance introduced into clouds to modify their microphysical processes, typically to enhance precipitation or suppress hail. Common seeding agents include silver iodide, which acts as an ice nucleus, and dry ice, which cools the air to initiate ice formation. These agents are dispersed into clouds from aircraft or ground generators.
