Silver iodide

A chemical compound used as a cloud seeding agent to induce precipitation or modify existing clouds. Its crystal structure is similar to that of ice, allowing it to act as an ice nucleus at temperatures below freezing. It is typically dispersed into clouds from aircraft or ground-based generators.
