Climate periodicity

The recurrence of climatic patterns or events at regular or quasi-regular intervals over time. These cycles are identified through statistical analysis of long-term climate data, such as ice cores, tree rings, and sediment layers. Well-known examples include the daily cycle of temperature, the annual cycle of seasons, and the multi-year El Niño Southern Oscillation (ENSO) cycle.
