Brückner cycle
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004055
A proposed quasi-periodic oscillation in climate, characterized by alternating periods of cooler, wetter conditions and warmer, drier conditions. This cycle was initially identified in the late 19th century based on historical records of temperature, precipitation, and glacier fluctuations. Its periodicity is estimated to be approximately 35 years, though its existence and mechanisms remain a subject of scientific debate.
