Convergence line

A narrow zone in the atmosphere where air currents flow together from different directions, causing air to ascend. This upward motion often leads to the development of clouds and precipitation along the line. Examples include sea breeze fronts, outflow boundaries from thunderstorms, and synoptic-scale troughs.
