Correlation triangle

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004717

A graphical method used in statistics and climatology to visualize the pairwise correlation coefficients among three variables simultaneously. The diagram, typically an equilateral triangle, displays the three variables at its vertices. The lengths or labels on the sides connecting any two vertices represent the strength and sign of the correlation between those two variables, providing a compact summary of their interrelationships.
