Cyclonic scale

The characteristic spatial dimension of weather phenomena associated with extratropical cyclones, ranging from hundreds to thousands of kilometers. This scale encompasses the entire low-pressure system, its associated fronts, and the broad areas of precipitation and wind. It is larger than the mesoscale but smaller than the planetary scale.
